Earth Observation: Now and in the future

Earth observation by satellites from space has become one of most important tools for humanity to monitor and study the changes to our planet due to human activities. Climate change, loss of biodiversity, pollution and scarcity of resources are being measured and checked by satellites by governments, but more and more by commercial companies as well. In this symposium we have asked two of the leading voices in the Netherlands involved in Earth observation to explain and discuss the current situation in Earth Observation and what can be expected in the near to mid term future.
